TradeGuru Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the TradeGuru Electrical mobile app, related backend services, store-subscription validation, account deletion tools, and pages hosted at tradeguru.com.au. It should be read together with any in-app safety notices, terms, and subscription disclosures.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use TradeGuru, we may collect and process:

• Account profile details such as name, email address, OAuth provider identifiers, and user IDs.
• Device identifiers, entitlement state, app version, platform, diagnostics, and security metadata.
• Chat prompts, AI responses, ratings, feedback, usage events, and support-related messages.
• Images, documents, audio recordings, transcripts, and other files you choose to submit for app features.
• Subscription and purchase-validation data from Google Play, the App Store, or our entitlement service.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Operate the app, provide AI-assisted responses, and maintain conversation and attachment features.
• Authenticate users, register devices, validate subscriptions, restore purchases, and prevent misuse.
• Improve reliability, debug issues, monitor quotas, enforce tier limits, and keep the service secure.
• Respond to feedback, support requests, account deletion requests, and legal or regulatory obligations.

4. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

TradeGuru uses third-party service providers to host the backend, authenticate users, validate store purchases, store operational data, process logs, and provide AI model capabilities. Content you submit, including text, images, files, audio, and transcripts, may be sent to AI providers or infrastructure providers only as needed to deliver, secure, support, and improve the service.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information and we do not use personal information for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking. We may share information with service providers acting on our behalf, app-store operators for subscription validation, professional advisers, regulators, or authorities when required by law or needed to protect TradeGuru, users, or the public.

6. Retention and Deletion

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for app functionality, security, compliance, backup, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. You can request account and data deletion from the app where available. Some records may remain for limited periods in backups, security logs, app-store records, provider logs, or legal records.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including server-side validation for subscriptions and access controls for backend services. No internet or cloud service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. International Processing

TradeGuru is operated from Australia, but our service providers may process or store information in Australia, the United States, or other locations where they operate. We use these providers to deliver the app and related infrastructure.

9. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to verification and legal limits. Australian users may also have rights under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

10. Children

TradeGuru is intended for electrical professionals and people legally working under appropriate supervision. It is not directed to children, and it must not be used by unsupervised or unauthorised persons to perform electrical work.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, where appropriate, communicated in the app or by email.
